Barry, Barry, Barry, there you go again, trying to apply good technical
sense and logic to a problem dictated by politics and money. <g>
Sad to say, IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN. And the reason is a large number of
qualified people say those who oppose are over-reacting to what they
claim are not substantial problems. They are called the members of the
NRSC who drafted and approved NRSC-5.
There will be no opening for further technical discussion. IT IS OVER.
However, there will be another time if those of us who see very serious
problems are correct. However, when that time comes, the pressure will
be for a de facto analog sunset by INCREASING digital power IMHO.
Analog was shot dead the day USADR bought Lucent DR, but it hasn't
stopped kicking yet.
