I believe that a number used both WE and those early RCA with the round
power amp that was typically used with the TT-10A TV transmitters. The
external amp was the TT-25A and B series that did in deed use the 5762
triodes. Tuning was done by using transmission quarter wave adjustable
sections and there should be no reason that they would not tune to the FM
band and where bandwidth/power relationship would be much better to achieve
than in TV service. But then at that time RCA could most anything for
anyone.

P.S. Today was the day that I was to meet Xen Scott and his wife Carole, she
is quite ill and they were unable to come. We love them both for their work
sake and we need to be mindful of them at this time.
