I've observed that if you want to participate in these lists, it's best not
to be too "thin-skinned". IMO the large majority of posters here are polite
and try not to hurt other people's feelings. A few have what appear to be
rather abrupt reply styles. I've put it down to the "style" of the
individuals who are posting. I honestly don't believe they mean anything
personal in the way they reply, it's just the way they deal with the world.
If they mean it personally, they'll usually say so :). I value the
opinions of all who participate, and there are obviously some who disagree
with me now and then. I take their advice/opinion for what I think it's
worth, and move on.

If anyone here has a right to feel abused, it would be poor Willie :). He's
probably the "poster boy" for abusive posts, and I've sent a few his way
myself. Usually on non-tech issues on the Alternate Frequency list. However,
I respect him as a fellow broadcaster, even if I disagree with some of his
personal beliefs.

The upshot of all this is, please don't quit or lessen your participation
for this reason. Most everyone here understands the situation. Don't take it
personally, and above all, have fun!
