[BC] RE: When did GE die?

Your talk of GE reminds me of the GE gear KSL-TV had in the late
60's. Someone suckered them into buying a GE film chain and 3 GE
color cameras which were the first color cameras used in the Mormon
Tabernacle. The problem is the heavy beasts were shared with the
tabernacle and KSL-TV. The cameras would be packed into the remote
truck and driven to the tabernacle every Sunday morning. I am now in
the process of transferring all of the archive LDS conferences to
DVD, and it's amazing how bad those cameras looked. I'm now up to
1972, and it's like night and day between the GE cameras and the RCA
TK-44 which was an awesome camera for its time.
