I have a Dr. Hook interview that I ran the board for from 1973.

The board was a Gates Yard, compressor was a Gates Sta Level (10 db or so
compression; single release time), mikes were RE-16's and it was recorded 
full
track mono on an Ampex 350. It still sounds great!

I'll trade you my 1966 recording of Ken Keasy's Acid Test for your Dr. Hook 
Interview.
Life was good at San Francisco State in those years and I actually remember 
it. :) It, too, was recorded full-track mono on an Ampex 350.
