Now that this 10 Watt has been resolved.   I believe that Bauer  and maybe 
Cetec made a 100 Watt tube type test transmitter, for the broadcast  band.  As I 
recall it was manufactured for the purpose of site tests for  conductivity.  
You could plug-in a crystal and tune it for any frequency  between 540 and 
1600 kilocycles.  It had a modulator built in for ID's  every half hour.
 
I also recall  Bob xxxxxx  , consulatant from LaGrange, IL   wrote an article 
in either BE or BME on why and how he used the test site for  data analysis.
