This box uses the very same tubes that my homebrew ham trasmitter, "B.O.B."
uses: A pair of 6146's modulated by a pair of 6CA7's (EL34's)! My box is also
50 watts. Co-inkidink? Must be, as I had never seen nor heard of this
transmitter until just now. I wonder how many (if any) of these still exist? They'd
probably be pretty popular items for hams like me, who still enjoy the old
firebottles for transmitting! :) Gotta love those sealed, round transformers. Nifty
stuff!
In looking at the URL... interesting that Barry chose to name that page
"bb.htm". (bb ... B.O.B.)
