>Antennas by Carl E. Smith, EE' from 1946 published by CIE.

That is the all-time classic, and, hopefully, soon to be returned to
print by Smith's estate.

This text contains two items of potential interest:

1) The actual design of (Columbus's) WTVN's DA-N array [ * ] , and

2) an outline of how someone (Smith) would have designed (Cleveland's)
WGAR's DA-1 array, shown in two ways, one by the familiar "multiplication
method", and the other by the less familiar "addition method".

WGAR's array is actually an "addition method" design, and Smith's text
does not show the array's central tower as being offset, as it was, and
still is, in its actual implementation.

[ * ] Somewhere I had the idea that WTVN had applied for a 50 kW upgrade,
but I now can find no record of that application.
