Is this the anti-hip-hop? I wonder how setting up loudspeakers outside a
hip-hop station would affect the crime rate nearby? Maybe even pipe the stuff
into the station's lobby? Could cut down on the shootings, ya think?
Willie...
hey willie,, here's a short story for ya, and it really happened.
i was in the air force and stationed at myrtle beach afb, i lived in the
dorms. well i was there for about 3 months and all was ok, no loud noises and no
crap to wake you up at night or in the evening if you went to bed early. well a
black airman a1c was transfered to mbafb, and shortly after, he commensed to
playing his music, rap or hip hop at the time 1983, and loud.
i had asked him if he would turn it down, his reply was i don't have to, with
a few other words in-between. i went to the my first sargent to ask the a1c
first sargent to please take care of it. that lasted about a week. then again i
asked if he would turn it down, this time a worse response. ok,, i thought
let's play fire with fire......
i play guitar, so i had an amp and a mic, along with a great stereo. i
proceeded to put the mic in front of the stereo speakers, got the amp set in my
doorway pointed right at his door, which was two doors down the hall. placed a
great killer BUCK OWENS lp on the turn table, turned on the amp, cranked the
volume about 3/4's of the way up, let the record spin, turned the stereo volume
1/3rd of the way up, turned on the mic.
the best country music i had heard in years that loud, along with everyone
else on that floor.
his stereo could not compete with me at all.
after one song, i stopped all audio output,,,,boy you could have heard a pin
drop, and the floor was carpeted.
never again while i lived there did i have anymore problems with him or
anyone else for that matter.
maybie barry mandilow would work, but i'd give it the good old country try
and it works real fast.
and the music pusher gets to hear the best darn classic country music or she
has heard in years at that level.
