Very true.  I run a Harris tube rig every day, with a DTV exciter 
attached...

I still get a kick out of knowing that the tone generated from our old
1940-vintage GR tone oscillator (tube powered, of course) did hit the
air at least once on that DTV rig.  I'll take the Fifth on exactly *how*
the tone got onto that TX... ;-)
