Let me add a question to this.

Because I really don't understand.

If you are paying royalties for playing the music.. what does it matter if
you bought it or downloaded it????

You don't have the CD but you are paying a "rental" for use of the music via
the royalties you are paying.

So the artist and owners of the music are both getting paid.

I don't understand how that is theft when payments are being made... then
again I'm not a lawyer.
