ViaTalk had 199 dollars for two years of service on Tuesday, Unfortunately, it
was only for a few hours; the price is now back to 199 for a single year. One
nice thing about ViaTalk is that they don't lock the AQTA box, so you can use
it's line two with another provider such as Free World Dialup, Galaxyvoice or
Stanaphone.

Now that the $99 plus a free year offer is gone, it doesn't make
sense for me to cut myself off from everyone who has my current
number. I don't believe Vonage has a Ma Bell type recording that
refers people to another number. I'm gradually notifying customers
and friends of my cell number and will, eventually, drop my landline
completely. If I choose not to pay a year in advance, the cost is the
two VOIP services is just about the same.
