[BC] Two input router?

They have a reliability problem in that they don't have enough horsepower to
run a large number of users (over 20). The RV082 has over twice the
horsepower. The Xincom 500 series routers also are excellent at about half the
cost of the Linksys 042. I have a 400 series Xincom (now dicsontinued) and
found it also is underpowered. The 600 Xincom series are for big offices and
have a price to match (about 500 bucks).

If you run a small office, then the 042 is fine, though overpriced.
For small offices, I recommend the Hawking FR-24. While discontinued, they
can be found on ebay for about 20 dollars. I run one here and it's utterly
flawless. The Hawking H2BR4 is the current Hawking model. They also have a
wireless version, the H2WR54G. www.hawkingtech.com

Dana,

I've been using a Linksys RV042 for about 4 months. Gray Frierson
Heartig suggested it. So far it's been flawless.

What was your bad experience or source of dislike for it? Reliability?
Not enough features? Price? Something else?

Thanks kindly,

kirk harnack
