Checkout photos of KFBK on Barry's site.
Lathe, sheet metal brake and sheet metal shear, etcetera ... everything
necessary to put something into limited production.
KFBK developed the Amplifuzz from a concept into a reality, installed its
home-made 50 kW at its home site in Sacto, and made another, this second
one being 5 kW, for its Reno site, proved the design in actual broadcast
operations, and then transferred the design it to RCA.
Likely, the McClatchy "out-phasing" transmitters were superior to RCAs.
Certainly, these were a lot simpler, especially in the exciter.
