The money paid to ASCAP, BMI and SESAC goes to the copyrite holders, or at
least
some of it does. "Theoretically" the money collected by RIAA or a fraction of
it
goes to the performers who cut the record, not the the song writers.
If the nitwits at RIAA had sense they would cut a deal with the copyrite orgs
the fees would increase, and that would be the end of it.
