KMail.  It's part of KDE's Kontact application set, and as such integrates 
nicely with the Contact Manager, Appointment Book, etc.  HotSyncs with my 
Palm Zire (USB-based) without a hitch too.

Included with virtually all general-purpose Linux distros.  Since it's non-M$ 
based, malware is a non-issue.
