I "may" be wrong, once again, BUT, I believe that Max Schmid stated that
WGBH has the tapes, and there are NO plans to make them available.  Max
seems to know a bunch about this, so maybe en-email or phone call could
clear things up a bit.  I have way too many Jean Shepard programs that I
get every Tuesday from Max' site.

That's a good question. I doubt it because VCRs weren't common for 
the early shows and I don't believe WGBH had started the 
merchandising department, yet. At the time all we could do was send 
Julia Child's recipes and Thalassa Crusso's gardening tips as 
pamphlets. They were setting up the merchandising department in the 
building across the street on Western Ave. in Allston.
