I did an Ohio renewal back in May 2004,(due June). Believe Indiana was due in either May or June of that year.

There was some kind of major computer glitch with the on-line filing system and, as I recall, when I filed that app the FCC computer either sat there forever, or something else screwy happened that prompted me to call the help desk. They told me the system was down. I had to refile that renewal app a few days later, much closer to deadline than I liked.

Some points to consider:

1. When you file, and only when you file, you get the file number (year/month/day plus three letter code generated in order of the number of filings that day. WBAA claims they had a file number of 20040401AQM (presumably (BR- or some similar prefix) which would have been April 1, 2004 with whatever position QM would get you counting up from "AAA." Having that number indicates something went somewhere.

2. You may or may not get a renewal card in the mail anymore. One station in the last bunch of renewal cycles never did get one, we downloaded a copy off the CDBS.

So it may well have been a Commission screw-up.
