I hate hearing about these accidents. The people that climb do so at great
risk without much benefit. My sympathies to the family.

The news story says he fell 500 ft....I understand that it was 1500 ft.
Maybe Frogman can clarify this. The TV news footage didn't even show the
correct tower. The crew was removing the WDJR-FM (Dothan, AL) antenna from
the 2000 ft WTVY-TV tower. WDJR had moved to their own tower a couple of
weeks ago since WTVY needed the tower space for their HDTV antenna. Both the
WTVY-TV tower and the new WDJR-FM tower are located just north of Bonifay,
Florida (Holmes County).....that's about 55 miles north of Panama City.
Frogman works there....maybe he can correct anything I have said if it is in
error.
Go to http://www.wtvynews4.com/ click on "Bonifay Television Tower
Accident" under video stories.
