Remember, that CC cluster is a little shell shocked at the moment. They are
the former home to Bubba the Love Sponge. Cost em 3/4 mil. Theyve fired
about 5 more since Bubba. Dennis Roper is a really laid back guy... not
normally like him. I'm sure a genuine mistake but zero tolerance you know.

It was a taped (whatever taped means today) weather update. No one
heard it before it was fed into the system? If there ever should be a
fine, this is it. It wasn't a live "accident" It could have been
prevented if someone had been paying attention. She could have
rattled off every profanity in the book and said something
insensitive about the GM's mother and no one would have known until
it aired. I'd call it bad quality control, not paranoia about fines.
Just the opposite, in fact.
What's probably going to happen is that firings will be required any
time anything questionable airs, just to show the FCC we care about
the children. Of course, for every one profanity the weatherwoman
used the children used five.
