[BC] Smallest AM Radiator

I noticed that WKFD has been dark for 5 years and the license has been
deleted from the database. I was kind of wondering if their 75' tower
meet minimum eff. of 282 mv/m for a Class D station. Was it series,
unipole/top loaded?

1370's signal was terrible. 1400 does quite well - theirs is also top
loaded
and located atop a 6 story building, with a counterpoise ground system.
It's
also shunt fed with a slant wire that runs up the outside of the
building from
the fifth floor.

The antenna resistance was 73 ohms I recall.

Dana,
How well did these antennas work?

WKFD in Wickford, RI (1390) used to use a 75 foot tower. WLLH in
Lawrence, MA
(1400) uses an approx. 70 foot pole.

Many graveyarders run towerd under 100 feet in height.

To the group,

I have a question, which station has, or using the smallest, vertical,
AM Radiator in the US, excluding Valcom or Kinstar Antennas. The
smallest I think is at KLID-AM in Pine Bluff, MO. It's a Class IV (Class
C) at 1340. I was having a debate with someone on this topic the other
day. I think KLID's radiator/tower is only 100'.
