Audio Vault works fine as does most any other automation - if used within it's
capabilities.

No one system does everything....

I would opine that it depends on how much you're wanting/needing to do with
it. For a single station, in a small market, yeah, I think it would be
overkill. For a multi-station setup, medium to large market, it's just
right. I worked with one of the early AudioVault systems in Columbus,
Indiana. It sure took some work setting up and getting used to. Factory
install guys were there for two weeks IIRC. Once it worked right, it was a
marvel. Getting it set to do what you want is the problem. And learning the
entire system was almost impossible, unless you dealt with it on a daily
basis.

Prophet's Nexgen is about as complicated. It's Clear Channel's standard
automation system. Same comments.
