thanks Dana et al. .... had no idea TIS could operate on 1070 in the middle
of the band; also assumed they were running around 50-100 w. & was surprised
10 w. is I guess more the limit.
the ones here in flat prairie land with the ground conductivity in the
middle of IL get out pretty well also.

The Nashville Airport has one of those on 1610, and it can be heard past
Gallatin, nearly 30 miles away! I bet their running 100 watts on a
decent radiator.
