[BC] STL by VSAT

Hi All,

Has anyone experience of using VSAT as a bi directional link for STL use,and 
telemetry / remote control using TCP/IP or UDP ?

Someone has proposed such a system for an upcoming station build here 
(approx 20 remote TX sites) - will it work, or is there a  contention issue 
on the satellite transponder likely to cause glitches on program audio
