heck, with all these low power TIS stations all over the place and all over 
the band, maybe ibiquity should try a deal where they digitize all of them 
first and see what happens.
sort of a low power pilot project.  if the noise floor became intolerable 
we'd have a warning about what will happen when a lot of real stations buzz 
up.

I did a little data recovery from the FCC's TIS site

I entered the coordinates of the intersection of US29 and the Beltway in 
Silver Spring, MD., and a radius of 15 miles.

530 MD state highways and Metro Washington Airports
590 Montgomery Co, MD
610 Washington, DC
650 Fairfax Co, VA
1070 Montgomery Co, MD
1290 MD highways
1610 MD highways
1620 Virginia
1630 MD highways
1640 Univ of Md at College Park
1650 Washington, DC
1670 Howard Co, MD, and Fairfax Co,VA
1680 Falls Church, VA
1690 MD highways
1700 Arlington Co,VA

There is a Class B AM on 1600 in Rockville, Mont Co, MD.
