CC took dark a full-power Class B here which lost its Tx site, and it
shows no interest in resurrecting it.

As far as the FCC is concerned, the station is deleted.

The cost for a new Tx site exceeds the value of the station, and although
multiplexing with other stations appears to be an option, that would
involve a quadraplex, and a major investment in the decrepit triplex, in
order for it to make any sense, technically. As for making sense,
financially, the issue it the same: the station wasn't making money in
its old digs, and what makes one think that new digs would be any
different?

And, this is (was) a "legacy" station which had been broadcasting since
the '30s.

With this CC property being deleted (and not operational, as there is no
site) and another property which has been deleted (but which could be
made operational on very short notice as the site still exists, intact),
there are two stations, one 5/5-U, the other 10/10-U, which are deleted,
yet there are still three stations which operate 10 or 5 days and 0.5 or
very low power nights, and are still on-air.

The listeners evacuated to FM decades ago, and the highest-powered
station in the market now broadcasts syndicated (Asian) Indian
programming, with there being no palpable evidence of an (Asian) Indian
community in this market.
