How about this? Convert the flag pole to nautical type design. Flag in the
middle, flags flying from slopers on each side. Then you could switch the
sloping wires in and out to achieve some directional gain.
Who is going to argue with someone flying a USN flag? (You might want to
consider getting a tattoo to authenticate the scenario).

complete with rope and flag !
