 Well, DUH !!

 In the scenario outlined, music CD's have been sold TWICE without
 even once paying the royalties due each time music is sold.
 Obviously, the intent is piracy. That's at least FOUR copies on which
 royalties have not been paid !
 Theft ! Fraud ! MILLIONS of recording mega-stars out of work, starving.

 How COULD you ?!
