Whatever a "radidio" is. Is that like a rodeo? <g>
Anyway, this brought to mind a happenstance in my life when I was
programming a Top-40 station. The sales people would complain that they
couldn't sell this "rock and roll" station. They would talk to business
owners and they would tell our sales people that none of their friends
listened to us. I asked, do they want to sell only to their friends, or to
the rest of the people in our town? So after getting this complaint from
our local Ford dealer, I challenged them to ask people who came in which
radio station they listened to. Well, 70 percent of them listened to us.
So they decided to advertise. Just asking business owners how they like
your station is counterproductive.
