There are many varieties of surround. 5.1, 7.1, Dolby (several varieties
there alone). Some better than others depending on the
situation. Remember the debate on the 5 different systems out there for IBOC?
I don't know which was used in SB 43 last night and it was not promoted
during the game that I saw.
What I found even more annoying was WW1's feed of the game. Marv Albert
was just shy of unintelligible most of the game with the background audio
SO LOUD. On big plays, forget it. It was a mess. I don't know if that
was intentional or not. I know their VP of sports and will ask. I know he
will be interested in professional ears...
