You can get them factory-reconditioned for about $80 at buy.com
That's where I got mine. The unit has a *built-in* feature that allows you to
log inaccuracies and submit them to TomTom. You can also get updates from the
TomTom WEBsite directly into your unit. It's VERY flexible.
Mine was already a year out-of-date when I bought it, so it didn't qualify
for the free, automatic US map upgrade online. A few e-mails, and a fax of my
proof-of-purchase straightened everything out. I got the upgrade/update and it
worked perfectly. (Unfortunately, it opened up the end of my dead-end street!!
I submitted an error report.)
Note that the TomTom really is intended for point-to-point routing, so it may
not be ideal for running radials. Hey, at least you won't get lost. ;)
