> Might someone have or know where to find an electronic version

> Rule Section 73.1212. It deals with PAYOLA.

Since I was AT the station that I believe was the reason for
that re-examination of the rule, at the time the infraction
occurred, I am extremely interested in a copy of this document,
as well, just for historical purposes, and maybe to go in my
61-year-old-geezer scrapbook. Which I is really just some
cardboard boxes full of stuff I haven't organized.

For those who don't know, one or more members of the air-staff
were alleged to have been running a "Plugola" scheme, in which
announcers would "accept" a "token of appreciation" from a
concert/show promoter in return for playing an artist's records
a little more often than might otherwise have happened, and
making little side-comments about the upcoming show.

In the absence of such a "gift", artist's records might
get played a little less often than might otherwise have
happened, and no upcoming show mentions would occur, other
than spots bought from the station.

I do not have any knowledge of such activities myself.
I do know that the station's license was forfeited at a
below-market price as a result of that investigation, and I
had to design (rip-off someone else's design) and hand-build a
(no budget to purchase an expensive, new) tape-logging system
to run 24/7 so that station ownership/management could maintain
"reasonable oversight".

As Patty Hewes said in the first episode of this season's
"Damages" on FX: "Everyone is Looking to Play an Angle."

It's what I hate about life.
