It displayed everything that way, and nothing I did would change it so after about four hours of frustration, I found the original installation disk and reinstalled the whole MicroTurd Office suite.

It STILL DOES IT! This makes editing IMPOSSIBLE. Does anybody know the secret?? to make the "_!@*$%" revert to its normal state.

Note: I am not "new" at this, I have edited much documentation at my previous job and even wrote a book using this crap.<<

Ctrl+* (Ctrl+Shift+8) toggles this on and off.
