I tried to undelete the Timed Backup file.
No such luck. But, since you brought it up....
At a Univ station I work for, I had a
conversation with a grad assistant. His
roommate attended another Univ in a different
state. That guy's older friend was a grad
assistant to a chemistry professor. Back in the
early days of word processing (WordPerfect 2
or some such) the professor would compose his
exams and Save them to a 5.25" floppy disk which
he kept in his briefcase. He would bring it to the
faculty duplicating office himself.

Somehow, he realized some students were scoring
very high on exams and this did not match their
classroom performance. In early December of that
year he happened to have lunch with a professor who
taught computer science. He mentioned this fact to
the computer professor who told him to go to his
office and compose a short document. Type anything
and Save it as you normally would do to an exam
while he stands out in the hall.

When the chemistry professor announced he Saved
his document to the floppy disk and placed it in his
briefcase, the computer professor simply Undeleted
the Timed Backup file and produced the "secret"
document. The chemistry professor was floored.

The chemistry professor was not to be had so he
composed the final exam as usual in his office. He then
composed the real exam elsewhere. The look on the
guilty student's faces was obvious. The chemistry
professor announced that since the final exam covered
all topics since day one, it would count for 90% of each
student's class grade. Needless to say, many had to retake
the class. He went on to tell the class one is never too old
to learn and explained how he discovered a "secret" about
word processor backup files. He accused no one but let
it be known he wasn't tolerating any cheating.

Lesson learned :-)
