Willie and all,
I was looking at the NECRAT site at the WVKZ-AM 1240 site in Schenectady, NY. I don't know if this site is operating or not, but this AM tower doesn't look to have any kind of slant wire or unipole. As a matter of fact, it looks to be a grounded tower, no base insulator! How in the world are they feeding this antenna? I saw no slant wire and a little wooden box that looked like an ATU.
Does somebody know something about this site? It looks mighty strange to not have a base insulator, and just feeding it straight to a grounded tower, with no slant wire, unipole, etc!
