actually, the biggest problem I've had is convincing the PoCo to up-size the transformer
on the pole

we had one back in the mid 80's where the REA insisted their transformer was 'good enough'

when starting this thing, the lights wouldn't just dim, they would go to orange.........we
had to do an on-off-on-off-on-off-on till it was up to speed

things came to a head one August afternoon when the combination of low primary voltage, AC
load, and outside temperature combined to 'fix' the problem for us, the pole transformer
looked like someone had stuck a 12-gauge in it and pulled the trigger

we refused to let the REA 'just replace' it, it got upsized
