The people who are fun to look at are the ones selling this stuff. 
They have the "I've got a sucker" look on their faces. Very easy to spot.

There's precedent for 1's and 0's falling on the floor. It goes back 
years. James Thurber (A Thurber Carnival) documented a similar 
problem with house current. One of his people plugged all the outlets 
in her house because electrons were leaking from unsecured outlets.

We don't yet know how much danger loose 1's and 0's pose, though I 
expect a well known New York TV reporter is probably preparing a 
frightening piece that'll pump up the sale of $189 cables to protect the kids.
