Modern motors have the identity of the bearing types (usually a  
different one for each end) stamped on the motor's nameplate date.

The bearing type indicates the type of sealing method: unshielded,  
shielded or sealed.

If there's a "ZZ" in the bearing type, it is unlikely that the Zerks  
would work, even if they were fitted.
