         1. The list that is more narrowly focused on technical issues
                 is tech-assist at radiolists.net
         2. The "pure" technical list is tech-zone at radiolists.net

                 than this one. However, sometimes people
                 don't know exactly where to post in this
                 overly-fragmented world. (At one time
                 there was only FidoNet and Compuserve.)

         In the intervening years, there are now literally
         scores of lists ranging from equipment-specific
         support lists to the captive lists of many corporations.
         The fragmentation has occasionally served some
         segments, especially the support groups. Others
         merely separate engineers and make it harder to
         know where to post.

         Sadly, some groups become dominated by people
         who are there to "show off" their knowledge, put
         others down, or troll for business.

         We welcome posts here that might be a bit
         more technical than average, but where the
         poster can get good advice from working
         engineers who want to share their knowledge
         and experience.
