Of course, you are correct Curt. The "administration" is screwing
this up on many levels. First, the Public Safety radio systems
cannot move ahead.
Second, those companies who won the bids for the commercial spectrum
are on hold.
Third, anyone who has been watching TV, and is unaware that there is
a change coming has an IQ below 40. They need to ask their dog to
help them out with the TV.
Fourth, anyone who depends on TV for "emergency messages" is an
absolute idiot. It only works when they are actively listening,
since no consumer has a SAME decoder on their TV (or radio).
And, finally, no one is going to be hurt by missing TV for a few
days, weeks, or even months. Imagine what might happen if people
read or talked!
THEN, there is the stimulus package. I have never seen a warehouse
so full of pork, some of which doesn't even come on line for two or
three years. How does this help us?
