Dana, I heard none of the above, but then again, I'm on a completely
different
network, and different time of day. I too agree that it's nice sounding. And
quiet when no audio is present. I like that.
However, I only receive left channel only. I can hear faintly what I assume
should
be right channel in the background. Is that the way it's being encoded, and
sent out?
I'd guess not.
I get this occasionally from sources off the net, Youtube and so on, but
often
get both stereo channels, so I assume that my soundcard is decoding stereo
when
it's present. I'm not much of a "computer setup tinkerer" anymore, I mainly
just use
it as an "information exchange tool", so perhaps I'm missing something
interesting
somewhere.
But overall, I'm impressed that it doesn't sound like "digital audio". No
gurgling,
no popping, no underwater mic effects and so on.
Oops, just heard two clicks, and they sound like vinyl clicks, but if that
were the
case, then they'd be present always, most likely.
And now a few pop, pop, pop, pop in synch with the beat of the drums (I
recognize
the song, but cannot recall it's title - rats).... peaceful, easy feeling...
The highs are clear, and no distortion. A "thumbs up" from here.
