         This is some of the material that one might
         expect to see in the trade publications, but
         they are suffering from much of the same
         issue the rest of the industry is: lack of
         folks who will take the time to share
         this sort of information.

         It is unfortunate, but many times, when
         I ask some folks to share such knowledge
         in print ... in Radio Guide ... they tell me
         they are just too busy. Over the past
         7 years, I've accumulated a long list of
         people who have promised to do a short
         article on some topic or other.  Sometimes
         I end up doing it myself.

         However, anyone seeing this thread on
         the list        now knows there are some additional
         things to "learn" if they are planning
         a new antenna.

         And, as another example, those who
         have moved to a totally different climate
         (from AZ, perhaps, to some strange place
         in the Dakotas) might learn there are
         other factors to consider in building and
         maintaining a site.

         There is value in having many opportunities
         for education.
