 I don't either. ( for the same reasons )
 It's pandering, plain and simple.
 Heck, you can get the coupons, and converter boxes,
 on Craig's list for krissake !
 Got 4 meself.
 The Zenith ( now discontinued after about a 6 month run ) is the better
 sensitivity and signal strength indication, but the Dish DTV-Pal has a much
 better program guide, and is the only one I found with programmable
 event timers, so it can change channels for a VCR and such.
 Only problem with the Dish box, when the signal gets below about 60%
 it goes to indicated zero percent, so it's not good for pointing an antenna.
 The Zenith pixelates at about 49-51% but shows signal down to almost
 none at all, so is great for pointing the antenna.
