I'd be interested to see demographics for people who listen to right-wing talk and listen to left-wing talk. If my personal experience most of the people who listen to those shows are middle income blue collar workers who construction or manual labor jobs and have radios playing in the background. Another big group would be truck drivers and other people who spend most of their jobs in vehicles traveling to job sites. Now most left-wing people are more likely to work in an office or be on welfare (I couldn't resist sorry) So maybe the left-wing liberals need to just acknowledge that the reason they don't get left-wing talk is because they don't listen to the radio as much as right-wing people.
Just a thought.
