Donna...
recognize this?
Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified
12/15/1791. Note
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or _/*abridging the freedom of
speech*//*, or of the press*/_; or the right of the people peaceably to
assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I'd suspect that any law attempting to re-instate the Fairness Doctrine
will face THIS challenge - which the original didn't, not because such a
challenge would have failed, but because the general broadcast climate
was such that stations were more afraid of running afoul of Anti
American Act charges. Such is not the case now; so look for a couple
of Deep Pockets to challenge it.

Um... if they're NOT getting heard, then how are they generating numbers
and making money for their sponsors?

The marketplace is about as level as you're going to get - OVERALL. No
amount of gub'mint mandates can change that basic fact of life. It's
been tried; it does NOT WORK!

And a whole raft of religious broadcasters, as well....

mostly not; what most lefties fail to comprehend is the Crosley Oath, if
I may call it that...
FIRST, ENTERTAIN
Just like the Hippocratic Oath of medicine; "First, do no harm".
Unfortunately, Leftie Talkers aren't the only ones who have forgotten
that.....
