[BC] Fairness doctrine by another name? aka censorship?

My best friend runs a pilot car service and spends a lot of time on 
the road listening to AM radio.  He's also a tower rigger and has 
spent several decades around radio.  His impression of Air America was 
pure hate towards conservatives, Republicans and anything non 
socialist.  Basically all he heard was negative, negative, negative 
and didn't find it at all entertaining.
