Nothing will get their attention faster than the signal going away.
I STRONGLY suggest you shut them down, and tell them you will put
them back on when you have cash or certified funds in hand. The
best way to let them know it is intentional is to remove the audio,
but leave the subcarrier on. Also, that means the receivers won't mute.
Of course, they may not care. I know they have migrated over to
small aperture satellite dishes for most of their retail customers,
so there may not be many users on your subcarrier anyway.
The choice is then, don't get paid and don't give them free service,
or don't get paid and give them free service. I prefer the former.
