Knowing the people involved, I'd doubt they'd have a problem with him 
originating from Washington. At WOR we would occasionally have Joan 
Rivers originate from London. As I recall, not a problem. Most 
networks originate shows form all sorts of places. Usually the 
problem is at the originating end because there's no engineer 
involved beyond setting it up initially. I've heard complaints from 
stations about the awful quality of Michael Savage (technical, not content).

WOR was carrying Sonny Bloch at the time he was accused of bilking 
investors out of millions. Small time stuff compared to today. He 
made off with less than Nadoff. The company decided to wait until 
there was evidence of wrongdoing beyond an accusation before taking 
the show off the air. He usually originated in Florida. One day the 
feed sounded terrible. We called to get it fixed only to find he was 
originating in Costa Rica. That was enough to make us believe we had 
a problem. The show was removed. Sonny seemed to have forgotten to 
check to see if he could be extradited. He was. He went to jail but 
was released early because he had terminal cancer. He died not long 
after. Sonny was one of the pioneers in remote origination.
