Lots of variables there. I've had trouble with our canopy system over relatively short distances if the RF environment (Particularly other 5.8 Unlicensed) is crowded. A simple line of site over 6 miles was mostly unusable for a Translator STL due to the multipath introduced by other towers in the vicinity according to the Pros I finally called in when I could not make it work, although it had worked over other, longer distances. Snow buildup on the dishes also made it less than reliable. It might have been OK for data with lot's of retries but was not good for continuous audio.
