As Doug said, it would be a dummy load, very low radiation efficiency and it
will not take your added sideband power.  500 watts equals 2 kW of power
with sidebands, so a plain old dipole cut for 1590 with some good ceramic
insulators like the power people use for the middle and ends would work
fine, in fact you can mount it off your antenna as an inverted V and the
loading impedance would be below 70 ohms.  You could run 500 watts or more
all day like that.
